flight

* * *

once upon a time
there was a girl
who was Loved so well
that she Became
Wings

her beloved watched over
her waking and sleeping
he bore her
and bathed her
in morning light
and moonlight,
he kissed her with the kisses of his mouth
he told her stories of the
Great Wide World
and showed her
how to See
Beauty
in
Everything...

...together they walked
Hinds' Feet on High Places...

he poured himself,
his very spirit,
into hers
all that he had,
all that he was,
till the two could not be told apart
till they could never be divided...
so that he would
always
be with her....

...*always*.....

....then,
he bid her,
to trade tangible shore,
to trust invisible Wind,
to leave terra firma for terra incognita,

to let go,

and Fly...

...she rose, higher and higher
with trembling heart
trembling wings
lifted on the breath
of his bitter-sweet benediction
to Be
to Become
all that he knew she could be
for a world
who had yet to See
His Beauty......

  ....Fly with me...

oh sweet yes to this.....fly:)
I think our journey with this tender shepherd
is much more of a love story
than I'm likely to remember day to day....in fact,
I often misjudge his heart
because of my suffering.
I think I need reminding often
how beautiful this life really is......thank you
for so deftly speaking this into my heart
this morning.
Glorious beautiful wonder-full flight to you, friends.
May your wings feel as if they've sprung fresh wings:)
