100

"A woman came to Jesus with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table...Jesus said...'She has done a beautiful thing to me.' "
-Matthew 26:7-10

One hundred holy heartbeats mutually shared
One hundred heartcrys between souls dually bared
One hundred pieces of myself passed out as broken bread
One hundred fragments multiplied for His Beloved to be fed

One hundred footprints follow, though obscured in desert sand
The burden of this journey borne as we've traveled holding hands
So little ground behind us, So much further yet to climb
the moments shared so fleeting, the double-edged sword of time

One hundred psalms, One hundred prayers
poured into this vessel for this purpose prepared
This alabaster jar of my heart's hard-earned treasure:
The perfume of pain, of loss, of surrender
Emptied out here, poured out to my Lord
Transformed into beauty
redeemed
and restored

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart-
These, O God, You will not despise."
-Psalm 51:17

One hundred "yes"'s whispered with one hundred smiles as one hundred times my eyes close and I breathe in deeply and thank God for the words you've shared.

And one hundred more spaces in my heart open up and find one hundred more ways to worship the One who deserves every square inch of my love and looking.

One hundred hugs,
-Jennifer

Dear precious one.....He hears your cries and will keep you close......When we ask, He hears and answers......Our choice is to obey or not....The choices is what gets me everytime........

You ask about the other blog and what happened...just had some snoopers and I felt constricted so now I have two blogs...one for girlfriends like you and the other with more general content....me but not the deep me...if you know what I mean...

"To obey or not"...you're right, Nancy....the verse comes to mind, "Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you." (Psalm 32:9)...

I'm afraid if I had been Eve, I would not only have taken a bite of the fruit, but would've made an entire pie, such is my stubbornesss and short-sightedness and un-yieldedness at times...

To once and for all trade my foolishness for "His Higher thoughts and His Higher ways"...To truly, in that way, be "Hindsfeet on High Places"....

Congratulations on your 100th post. It's great fun, isn't it? Your post brought a good memory to my mind. When we first moved here we took our first of many trips to the Philbrook Art Museum in Tulsa, OK. We were exploring a new to us museum, so we were going slowly and noticing everything. Suddenly I stood stock still and just started crying. There, right there in front of me in these cast, just a few inches away was an alabaster jar. Yes, from the correct time period, still sealed, still gorgeous, still worth a fortune. Nothing short of amazing.

You wouldn't believe how very small it was.

Hello Miss Hindsfeet. You write so beautifully. I kept seeing your comments over on some of my other friend's posts and just had to come on over and meet you. I became a follower so I could come back and hear more of your beautiful words from the heart.

I love this picture of the woman and the alabaster jar. Wherever did you find it? Is this one I could use someday on my blog too?

Loved your words here.
