"Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Be of good cheer!  It is I; do not be afraid.'"
-Matthew 14:27

Relief, not fear
When Jesus comes near
it is to save
not condemn
It is to steady
And still the storm within...

He is the Way
where there is no way at all
When we're all out of options
When our faith is so small...

"Let there be Light!",
He cries into our night
Displacing Despair
With New Hope for New Life...

He covers our frailty
passes over our sin
gently taking our hand
He bids us begin again...

-E.A.A. "Hindsfeet" 4/18/11, First Day of Passover

  1. relief, not fear.
    oh yes oh feeling this.
He is so not what we fear He is!
If we only saw Him as He really is,
we'd run TO Him when we stumble.
    Like a house on fire!
    This is beautiful, friend,
and I'm so glad to see you post again.
    Have missed you!
Peace in the storms to you,

  2. Hello sis... it's been a while since we have seen each other. =) But I love your words. They soothe what is crazy from within. I just posted a picture of "stillness and peace" ... a boat on the waters of Hawaii. I used the verse of Jesus asking Peter to walk on the water with him... Well, your picture here and my verses are of one. WE are still connected in some way. Thank you for this post and the footprints one. Love you.
