These brief bursts
Where we see,
With heartbreaking Clarity,
For just a Moment,
Real
Before "reality" realizes the breach
And rushes back in,
like an ocean wave over
seashell treasures in the sand
suffocating What Was Seen
As though It never was...
And we wonder,
And question what we saw,
And dismiss as a trick of the light,
The Truest Light

These brief bursts where we see....
ReplyDeleteoh yes. Oh yay for the seeing.
And when we don't, thank God for the
believing:) For the trusting and hoping
and leaning into mystery with a wholehearted (and trembling) yes to the
One who is faithful beyond what we can
even begin to imagine or understand.
I'm learning, I think, to be okay with
not understanding. Or at least to embrace that understanding comes from God.
From One who is a giver:)
Give us understanding and light, dear
Spirit of God. Counselor. Guide. Friend.
